她對這枝精油又愛又恨，喜歡它的香氣，可以用在傷口感染，關節炎止痛，用在腦退化症病人抗抑鬱及嗅覺刺激方面。
有些研究指出天竺葵精油對雌激素有影響，但不清楚芳療使用的方法使用在乳癌患者上有多少影響，所以為安全起見，她也會避用。但相信用在擴香上相對是安全的。

Geranium is a well known essential oils with which I have a love & hate relationship. I love the oil, yet detest its fragrance.
I love it for infected wounds (I use it in wound gels for that, and will speak on that in Grasse, France, in October this year), for scars, fungal infections and other dermatophytes. I also appreciate it for neuralgia and arthritis, and use it in blends for depression and as a sensory oil for dementia care.
Fairly recent study suggests that geranium (and rose) has estrogenic activity (Shinohara K, Doi H, Kumagai C, Sawano E, et al. Effects of essential oil exposure on salivary estrogen concentration in perimenopausal women. Neuro Endocrinol Lett. 2017 Jan;37(8):567-572).
It was not really clear if normal aromatherapy use would be contra-indicated for patients that had undergone or are still undergoing treatment for breast cancer, yet recently researchers advise that those patients better avoid geranium oil - and palmarosa as well (Simões BM, Kohler B1, Clarke RB1, Stringer J, et al. Estrogenicity of essential oils is not required to relieve symptoms of urogenital atrophy in breast cancer survivors. Ther Adv Med Oncol. 2018 Apr 2;10:1758835918766189. doi: 10.1177/1758835918766189. eCollection 2018). I'm always a safety advocate, so I will advise accordingly - if only precautionary - in my teachings and in my new book for Dutch health care professionals.
Diffusion in moderate dosages in a space to create an ambiance should however be safe I feel.
